A wild ABRA appeared!

abra

My favorite part is where he calls this exchange “mad gay” and then spits out “mewtwo” like second nature.

It’s funny, because if you ever met Abra in an actual Pokemon game (highly, highly prized Abra, who evolved into Kadabra, who evolved into the uber-powerful physic-type pokemon Alakazam), he’d immediately teleport away unless you threw something like a speed or master ball at him.

Yeah. Pokemon was pretty cool.

Thought PopCap’s Bejeweled 2 couldn’t be beat? Think again.

A California steel contractor named Mike Leyde recently displayed one such type of persistence by playing a single round of his casual game of choice, Bejeweled 2, for 2,205 hours and 51 minutes over the course of three years. In that time, he collected 4,872,229 gems, earning the game’s highest calculable score, 2,147,483,647, at which point the score display got really perplexed and went blank.

Measuring Code Quality by WTFs/minute

wtfs/minute

via WTFs/m.

Just pulled an all-nighter pumping out some serious C code that, in theory, looked deceptively easy – but, in practice, was incredibly difficult to get my head around.

As a reward, here’s an oldie but a goodie – measuring code quality by WTFs/minute.

I’m sure whoever marks the code I just wrote will be WTF-ing very hard.
